Information for Parents
Patchwork Drama is the youth section of Pattingham Drama Group, and is run by members of the PDG. Sessions are aimed at helping children increase their confidence in performing in front of others, which is a valuable life skill regardless of whether or not they go on to become actors. Sessions include a variety of drama games, improvisation, poetry performance and play acting culminating in a twice annual performance to friends and family.
PDG is affiliated to NODA ( National Operatic and Drama Association ) and we have a comprehensive Child Protection Policy in place.
We meet on Saturday mornings during term-time in Pattingham Village Hall
8-11 years 10.00-11.00h
12-16 years 11.00-12.00h
Term fee £15, to cover the hall hire costs, membership of the Pattingham Drama Group (PDG) and insurance.
Patchwork usually stages two productions each year, the main one being in February, and Patchwork members often perform in Drama Group productions. See UPCOMING EVENTS for details of the next show.
Our activities include drama games and exercises, performing, collaboration with other youth drama groups and visits to the theatre.
